Meet Sarah

(She/Her)

Hello! My name is Sarah and my passion lies in helping women and children navigate different nutritional needs throughout their lifespan. I primarily work with trying to conceive, pregnant, and postpartum women, as well as infants and children. I would love to be your family's dietitian!

In addition, I love helping people expand the variety of foods they're eating and remove any feelings of restriction, so naturally I enjoy helping individuals navigate food allergies, intolerances, and sensitivities as well as children with ARFID.

Being a dietitian at Bamboo Nutrition means that I am passionate about individualized care and take a non-diet, health at every size and intuitive eating approach with all my clients.

I chose outpatient dietetics because I value building relationships with clients. I enjoy getting to know my clients and working with their personality traits to best tailor nutrition counseling and goal setting. I love to be their biggest cheerleader and encourage people that they can have a healthy, balanced relationship with food and their body.

I graduated from the University of Missouri but grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. In my free time, I enjoy joyful movement, attending concerts, and being next to a body of water!

I see clients in person in Columbia, MO and online. I am in network with BCBS, Aetna and Cigna. I am working to become paneled with United Healthcare and UMR. If your insurance is not one that I accept, we can provide you with a superbill for you to submit for reimbursement. For more information, please visit our Rates & Insurance page.

Sarah’s Specialties

Sarah has a Master's degree in dietetics and has completed extensive training on mother and infant nutrition. She believes that adequately fueling mothers and children is vital in creating a healthy relationship with food throughout the household. Sarah offers her clients and families who feel like they do not have enough hours in the day to devote time towards thinking about food, the ability to feel confident and calm with their food choices. She loves to answer clients' questions on various nutrition topics and tailor an individualized treatment plan that works with their lifestyle.

Sarah is very charismatic and outgoing. She enjoys getting to know her clients on a deeper level and likes to take a holistic approach with how factors like sleep, movement, and stress impact our nutritional choices and needs. Sarah enjoys working with the family unit and connects well with young children.

Sarah’s Nutrition Philosophy

My goal is to remove stress surrounding meals and snacks by bringing us back to the basics of eating: nourishment and pleasure. I hope to achieve this in my adult clients by bringing out the child-like approach to eating that many of us have lost with and in my adolescent clients by encouraging them to stay in tune with their bodies and block out diet culture's noise.
